Oh What Joy When the King Walks Through

In times of worship sometimes I see visions of Jesus that are so very amazing.

Last night when my eyes were closed I saw Jesus walking through the streets of what I believe was an ancient city, possibly Jerusalem. And he was wearing a beautiful white robe with a long blue cape and the edges were gold. He was wearing a crown. As he walked down the cobblestone road I could see people coming out of the houses. The street was very narrow. People were happy to see him. They came out with a wave and a smile and excitement. Some people burst through their doors to see his face. Then, a little child ran out and up to him and leapt up to him and Jesus took the child in his arms and kept walking the rest of the way with the child in his arms.

It was a very joyful scene!  There was a triumphant joy exploding in the city because of the presence of Jesus walking down the street. He walked through the city and it became alive as he walked. People who knew him came and greeted him with a kiss and a wave. Jesus touched those who stepped forward and wanted to be touched.   He is a king with so much majesty and power that exudes from him with every step.

I believe this is a prophetic picture about the presence of Jesus manifested in the midst of believers when they worship.  When Jesus shows up on the scene lives are changed. Hearts are touched. Moods are lifted. People come out from hiding just to behold Him.  He is worth beholding. When we go beyond even just worship, to childlike wonder, awe, and adoration, He pulls us even closer and holds us tight.   As we worship and praise He keeps coming and coming and coming and bringing all of his wonderful magnificence into our lives.

Will you behold the King of kings and the Lord of lords today? Will you extol his name and see Him walk right through your life bringing his majesty, wonder, and delight?  When you posture your heart to see and worship Jesus, he will show up in a way that you can see his goodness. It will affect your day, your week, and carry your troubles away!  He will come running. Joy can return!

Stop sulking, and start worshipping. Fall on your face.  Lift your hands. Tune the world out and adore him. He will walk through with a smile and the light of joy that will change everything.

Oh to worship Jesus and give Him the praise that is due. Allow Him to come and rule and reign as the king that He is. Open up your heart and sing praises to Him and glorify his name.

May the king’s name endure forever; may it continue as long as the sun shines. May all nations be blessed through him and bring him praise.

Psalm 72:17 NLT

At that same time Jesus was filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit, and he said, “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way.

Luke 10:21 NLT

The LORD is king! He is robed in majesty. Indeed, the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. Psalm 93:1
